Accessibility Statement
Our commitment
Community Online News is committed to making its website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, in line with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
What we do
- Keyboard access to menus, forms, dialogs and the “Skip to main content” link
- Text alternatives for images, and descriptive link and button text
- Sufficient color contrast and visible keyboard focus
- Labeled forms with clear error messages
- Captions or transcripts for video and audio where we publish them
- Spanish-language content marked up so screen readers pronounce it correctly
Known limitations
- Some older articles may still be missing image descriptions, captions or transcripts. We are correcting them as we find them.
- Content from other companies, such as payment pages (PayPal, Stripe), embedded videos, social media widgets and advertising, is outside our direct control and may not be fully accessible.
